Well after a great week of adoptions it was truly a tough weekend for Hop A Long Hollow. It just goes to show you that in animal rescue anything can happen at any time. A day after we lost Fuzz Butt we lost Cinnamon, a bunny that has been at the Hollow almost since the inception. She had a seizure problem and due to that illness she was never adoptable. The seizures had been getting worse and she was an older rabbit so in a way this was inevitable, but we still don’t like when it happens. She leaves behind her Husbun, Rags, who will miss her greatly and her loyal and loving caretakers, Brandee...

Goodbye Fuzz

Mr Fuzz aka Fuzzbutt crossed the Rainbow Bridge sometime during Friday night.  He had been taken very ill with severe bladder sludge and a bladder infection earlier in the week.  South Wilton Vet Group and I tried everything possible but his body was not strong enough to win the fight.  He had undergone bladder flushing yesterday and the vets were thrilled with the results as a large clump of sludge that had formed an obstruction in the urethra was found and they were able to remove it.  I guess it was too much for him.  Though we all expected a positive outcome - he was gone when the vet’s...
