Mr Fuzz aka Fuzzbutt crossed the Rainbow Bridge sometime during Friday night. He had been taken very ill with severe bladder sludge and a bladder infection earlier in the week. South Wilton Vet Group and I tried everything possible but his body was not strong enough to win the fight. He had undergone bladder flushing yesterday and the vets were thrilled with the results as a large clump of sludge that had formed an obstruction in the urethra was found and they were able to remove it. I guess it was too much for him.
Though we all expected a positive outcome - he was gone when the vet’s office opened this morning. I can only say that we gave him what I truly believe was a happy year and a half living in the infirmary with me. I had visited him yesterday in the vets office after his procedure and I had a sense things were not going right with him. I was hoping that his actions were due to the anesthia and procedure he had just undergone.
Enough with the sad details - I just wanted you all to know of his passing. He made many friends among the volunteers and adopters over the time he was with us. So often someone asks me how he is doing. Once you met him - Mr Fuzz made an unforgettable impression! Fuzzy and his butt cart (which is how he got the name Fuzz Butt!) were loved by all.
