Hop A Long Hollow Special Sponsorship Opportunities
Hop-A-Long Hollow is pleased to announce a new program called "Sponsor A Bunny". This program enables people to reach out and help through donations. For those that would like to adopt, but cannot at this time, you can help out by sponsoring a bunny that is currently residing in our shelter. It is a commitment that we ask you to make for at least 3 months at a time. You may pick the bunny you would like to help sponsor from our "sponsor bunnies" list. We will provide you with pictures (electronic) of your chosen bunny throughout the sponsorship period as well as updates as often as time permits. You will also receive an honorable mention on our thank you page.

Sponsorship program details:

Sponsorship Level 1:  $50.00 contribution  This sponsors a bunny of your choice off the list of bunnies available for adoption on the Hop-A-Long Hollow website for a 3 month period. This includes an email photo of the bunny, an e-mail letter of description and history of the bunny and visitation rights at the shelter by appointment.  Should the bunny be adopted this sponsorship ends.  When the bunny is adopted you will receive a description of the family situation that your bunny was adopted out to.

Sponsorship level 2:  $100.00 contribution.  This sponsors a cage and it's occupant for 6 month period.  We will choose a specific cage and send you information on that cage's current occupant bunny. You will receive a photo, a history and a description of the bunny.  This will be updated every two months so you will receive three e-mail letters with photos. Should your bunny be adopted your sponsorship will transfer to the next occupant of that cage and you will be informed of your new bunny and his information as well as information on the adoptive family of the original bunny.  This information will be updated every time the cage has a new occupant! You will also have visitation rights at the shelter by appointment.

Sponsorship level 3:  $500.00 contribution    This sponsors a cage and it's occupant for a full year.  At this level you will receive a monthly update and photo on the cage's current occupant.  You will be informed each time your bunny is adopted out and your sponsorship will transfer to the new occupant of that cage.  You will also have visitation rights at the shelter by appointment. With this sponsor ship you will receive 12 e-mail updates with a new photo every time. In addition, at this sponsorship level we will grant you naming rights to any new bunny that comes in and occupies your sponsored cage! (The name may be changed by the adopting family if the bunny is adopted).

Please e-mail Linda for more program details or with any questions at hopalonghollow@aol.com

SAMPLE LETTER:

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Hop A Long Hollow!  Attached you will fiind a photograph of Pork Chop.  Pork Chop is a huge 11 1/2 pound Grey and White Flemish Giant Mix bunny.  He came to the shelter in October of 2006 after being rescued by a kind person who found him running loose in a yard in Madison, Connecticut.  Pork Chop is a gentle, even tempered bunny who loves attention and will sit happily while you hold him for a hour at a time!  He is very unrabbit like!  He loves to do big clumsy binkies and bunny hops all around the shelter while he visits all the lady bunnies through their cage doors!  Pork Chop is also a television star!  He appeared on Cablevision's Pet Talk in December 2006 and made a very good impression an everyone! He clearly felt right at home and sat like a gentleman though the interview.  While he didn't have much to say he certainly looked great! Pork Chop will fit well into a home with children and other animals.  He is calm, gentle and easy going.  He enjoys the company of other bunnies and seems to be good around cats also.  We would be delighted to have you come and visit Pork Chop anytime.  Just call 203-247-466 for an appointment and directions.
